Today, Auschwitz museum and memorial is the alone German extermination camp entered on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The Polish town Oswięcim in the vicinity of the city of Krakow contains this large museum.
It is separated into 2 camps: Auschwitz I and Birkenau II. They form the sincere proof of the sadness and difficulty of the life of the people who were tortured at that place. Great number of them were Jews. They were unscrupously killed in gas cavities.
